28 May updates

Ahh its days again since i last update. Well basically I am lazy and also busy to update my blog. Finally finished my first year review this wednesday. Everything went smoothly i guess except a slight bit of my presentation which I get stuck when trying to find some words to explain my slides. What else... life is normal and basically repeats itself week. Doing some lab demonstration and still the same single me.. Trying hard to forget that miss J and trying to return to the friend type of situation and keep things naturally as it is. Ah ha.. jay chou's singing contest. I failed what else... it's kinda sad at first but after analysing all those competitors who got in, i find myself feeling okay not to go in the first round cuz the competition basically doesn't have a stardard to compare to.. even the lousiest can enter. what can i expect from such a competition. 

A surprise this week, even though i feel not so surprise or excited about it... is that my house mate Qimyi bought a PS3 yup yup u heard it right... so now we have a PS3 in our house. Guess i am not so into games ah haha. I would be more happy it there is a digital piano or mbox2 coming in lol haha... 

Badminton is a weekly sports with Kuan. Qimyi, Kok Wai, Kuan Iris, Li Yi, Mei Ling and me played from 6-8pm on sunday and suddenly at 7pm there a young lady steeped into our badminton court... guess who.. miss J... hai~~~ okay played 2 rounds with her that evening. And all of us had dinner at Tea Inn. All of us sort of like tea inn a lot nowadays even though it is a bit more ex than others haha. Well dinner mah.. enjoy what you can...

Italian Style~~

Attended my first conference in Italy... not bad after all but its quite different from what i thought how a conference should be haha. Well it is more informal than I thought it would be. Naples, haha, quite a dirty place and it changed my image of Italy but Rome and Milan bring it back haha.

Ah first time traveling alone to such a far place and roam around in few places was quite a challenge to me. I had to plan every move and everyday event. Interesting for a person like me who doesn't do much planning as I am the happy-go-lucky type. 

Rome, magnificent structures especially the colosseum which had me stunted for a few seconds when I first saw it. It is really beautiful and it triggered my fingers to go snap snap snap! I took so many photos here. I enjoyed most of my days in Rome,  2 days to be exact.

Pisa is a small town after all and there are nothing much other than the well know leaning tower of Pisa. I just stay at Pisa for a few hours and the only thing that I saw was the tower after all.  Took a lot of snaps of the tower cuz it is just so special.. just imagine how can an old building still standing and also leaning on one side.... what sort of engineering ingredients do they put into it few thousand years ago.

Florence, i only go there to shop basically haha nothing much :P I do manage  to visit a few interesting places there of course.

Venice is just so beautiful, be it day or night. I enjoyed the relaxed life by the grand canal. It makes me feel so artistic hahaha. Main attraction is sure to be St. Mark's Square where there are a lot of people. Rialto is where i do shopping and also had my lunch and dinner haha.

Milan is a hugh city where you can get lost easily even with a map at hand cause the map just won't be able to name you all the name of the streets haha. Fashion city where you could find all sort of luxury goods, you name it, you find it. Versace, Prada, Gucci, Dolce and Gabbana, Armani etc etc all came from Italy.. no wonder Milan is shoppers' paradise haha. Too bad I am not that rich enough to spend my money on them... hai~~~ how i wish i could. Weird isn't it that I didn't get to shop for anything in the shoppers' paradise haha. I should get at least something as souvenirs... but nvm haha hope there's still next time that i can be there and hopefully rich enough during that time haha...

Alright!! these are the summary of my Italy trip.. till then :P busy with works after my holiday hehe..

Ah a quick update when there is internet! I am here in Italy for my first conference. Done with my presentation on the first day of the conference in Naples or Napoli which it is known and managed to escape to Pompei, a ruined but well preserved city. The conference just finished yesterday and now i am off for my trip around Italy soon. Starting from Rome again then continuing to Florence, Pisa, Venice and the to Milan and then flying back to Sydney on the 12th May. Ahh hope to find some interesting souvenirs whenever possible for all my friends and the someone :-) cheers now it is 12.52am at Italy and 8.52am at Sydney now... Ah if only there is somebody that can accompany me while i travel around Italy. Hope that I can head to Paris if possible next time, perhaps another conference on this European continent! Update 2 May

Just to drop by and update some on things that happened for the last 2 weeks. Well Qimyi, Kokwai and me organized a potluck at our house on the 25 of April (Anzac Day). It all went well, we enjoyed it a lot and I was there singing songs for all people... uhmm only for those who went into my room and listen. Well Jocie attended our potluck as well. She did managed to sang some songs as well such as "Don't go away" by BY2 and also "梁山伯與茱麗葉" by Genie and Gary but we din managed to finish it cause I always make errors. Well what can i say, her singing is nice. I also did bad thing that day by not letting a person come to this potluck.. Hmm well my bad what else? I feel guilty n uneasy doing this as well. hai~~~~

Other than that, nothing much happened. I played a lot of badminton like 3 times per week haha quite interesting actually. Well the Jocie thingy has really started picking up in my brain. Gosh never tot tat it would be so fast (I know it started to sounds like i am playboy like tat but tell u, it is not!!). The condition now is not going anywhere so I'll just have to return to my square 1 first where everything was like before and watch slowly what will happen then. This is better this way (i think) so that I don't fall too deep into it and better dun think too much because i think she is just treating like a friend just like others.. nothing much. So Cheer up lo haha... Time will tell if it is fated! I'll be leaving for italy later at 3.25pm. I am nervous and scare actually. Just wish me luck for my presentation and holiday as well.
